Anniversary Party 8.8.08 The Cardinal Bar is a true Madison (Wisconsin) institution. The building was built back in 1908 as one of the last railroad hotels. The bar and building still retain most of the features from when it was originally built. And believe me, you can feel the ghosts from the old tavern on a regular basis in there. The tavern & restaurant became a dance club back in 1974 and have been the city's favorite place to dance pretty much since then. It's also consistently been ahead of the curve with in ...
