A pretty lively selection of the best new music from the Podsafe Music Network and Jamendo this week. I think I'm recovering from the hectic schedule of the last couple of weeks.I did enjoy the sign (right). So that's how they deal with spots on their hands in Brighton!LÃgger Ãse - Stromble Fix (Essen, Germany)Since their reformation in 2002 STROMBLE FIX have released two CDs which cover a wide range of dark independent guitar music. I've allowed myself a refreshing dive into the delicious waters of Jamendo again this week so we have a particularly interesting mix of music from Canada, France, and Argentina(actually Argentina got put back to next week - probably), before flying off to the exotic delights of Exeter in the south west of England for a couple of days. It all sounds a bit tame really. I'm hoping for good wireless connection at my hotel this week as I'll have  at least one morning to crack on with some w ...

A rum ol' mix of music this week along with a feature on the Lewes Bonfire celebrations in Sussex (not Suffolk!). A long week of travel so "if it's now it must be Suffolk". Strange goings on with the Podshow servers. They normally dish up the podsafe music for me to listen to on your behalf with unfailing loyalty. But not today. Suffolk 'n' Cool takes a rather-more-laid-back-than-normal turn this week - probably in the wake of too much excellent beer at The Three Horseshoes last night! I must admit that some of the tracks featured may not have normally been selected but in a way that's for the best as it gives us something else to listen to that we might otherwise not have heard. Quite a bit of unashamed pop in this week's mix along with a few other tunes that I wouldn't really expect to hear on my show. But that's what about, listening with fresh ears. Ah, the sound of an English summer.Maybe the music this week reflects the weather, quite mellow and almost downbeat in places. Well, I'm pleased to be with you this week - no, no, really, really pleased to be with you.As you'll see (right), it's been an interesting few days. Now I have to sort out a replacement car. It is a real testimony to the strength of the Smart Car that it withstood two fairly hefty impacts (one on each side) which wrote it off but the passenger area was completely intact (apart from broken glass). Psst. Don't tell the insurance company but the wing mirror glass ended up in my lap - unbroken! ...

Great music from both sides of the Atlantic this week. A real mix which I'm sure you'll enjoy. Meeting last week at this rediculous indoor ourtyard in London. I was in Leeds at the end of last week and had an evening to myself before a load of meetings. It's a while since I was in central Leeds and the speed and extent of development is astonishing.  New high-rise buildings seem to be going up all around the city centre. I don't know how the good people of Leeds feel about the transformation but it certainly looks impressive.
