Philippians 4:9 - 4:23
Philippians ends with a commendation of the saints at Philippi for their support of Paul. "But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God." Phil 4:18.

Philippians 4:1 - 4:9
We read more exhortations and instruction as the 4th chapter of Philippians unfolds. "Be anxious for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Phil 4:6-7

Philippians 3:12 - 3:21
Our study continues in the 3rd chapter of Philippians as Paul fleshes out the prize of the high calling of God and exhorts us to mark those who God has given us as examples in the faith. "For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ." Phil 3:20

Philippians 2:26 - 3:12
This 3rd chapter in Philippians displays Paul's desire to attain and what it is that he wanted to attain to: "That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable to unto His death; if by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead." In chapter 2 we are exhorted to have the mind of Christ and given the example of His 7 steps toward humility and suffering followed by His 7 steps toward glory. "Wherefore...work out your own salvation with fear and trembling." Phil 2:12

Philippians 1:18 - 1:30
The context of this portion in Paul's letter to the Philippians is the one hope of all believers that we must endeavor to keep (Eph 4:3). As Paul describes in Philippians 1:20 "According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death."

Philippians 1:1 - 1:18
Philippians is the only epistle addressed to the saints together with the bishops and the deacons. The establishment of proper church government at Phillippi is an early indication that this is a mature church. This is also evident because Paul is confident that "He Which hath begun a good work in your will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ" Phil 1:6

Romans 14
In the 14th chapter we learn about handling Christian liberty with respect to weaker brothers' consciences. The overriding principle is provided in the last 2 verses of the chapter: "Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth. And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin." Rom 14:22-23.
