Fitzgerald, longtime SLB performer and friend, passed away on 1113 following complications from a previous liver transplant. Fitz was one of Pittsburgh's most influential and gifted finger-pickers, songwriters, teachers and singers. A talented solo performer, he also played in a band called Common Threads (1980s, early 1990s as well as in a revival last year), alongside Anne Feeney for 8 years, duo with Casey Deeley (Uptown) and most recently and frequently in the blues duo Fitzgerald ...
