12 Small Steps, One Giant Dissapointment is the third and final album by Bad Astronaut, a Fat Wreck Chords band headed by Lag Wagon's Joey Cape. Drummer Derrick Plourde took his own life while this album was still being created. Benjy Ferree - Private Honeymoon
Most tracks seem to be goofy indie pop. Not sure if it's the bio that is biasing me but it feels like Benjy (or his Label) wants me to believe he is a kooky eccentric. But the reality is that the tunes just sound like music for birthday parties. Bouncy, catchy throw-offs.
This track, however, is the least goofy - even with it's 3/4, oomp-pa-pa, carrousel, waltz rhythm.
