Listen | Listen in your iPhone | Download | View full cache | Visit Website My Hometown's Mayor is a Homophobe Apparently, the mayor of my hometown has decided it's okay.to publicly trash gay people.
First I would like to assure the world that Mr. Krieger does not speak for most Yumans. Yumans are good people and I am proud to claim the place as my home. I would also like to encourage everyone to email the mayor and let him know how ass-backward he is. Here is my email...

P. "The Big Bopper" Richardson, as well as the pilot, Roger Peterson.[1] The day was later called The Day the Music Died by Don McLean, in his song "American Pie". [Wikipedia]

Listen | Listen in your iPhone | Download | View full cache | Visit Website Geocaching Data Liberation Front I've been fiddling around with the Geocaching thing for several months now. I've found a few around the valley. I've found one in Vegas. I've planted my own cache. And now I have a travel bug floating around out in the world. It's a fun hobby with a strong community of users, but I can't help but be bothered by the degree to which geocaching is a proprietary system that is way too closed when it comes to user data.
Any time a user visits a geocache or moves a travel bug, they log it on ... Listen | Listen in your iPhone | Download | View full cache | Visit Website Fight Crazy with Crazy
Listen | Listen in your iPhone | Download | View full cache | Visit Website What Do You Do When You've Done it All? I feel like a bad fan-boy. The Cannonball Run is one of my all time favorite movies (stop your snickering) and I had no idea it was based on a real thing.
The HowStufffWorks.com podcast came up on my iPod this morning and it was all about the Cannonball Run. It was an actual thing. They ran it five times and no one ever got hurt. The movie was originally supposed to be a drama and Burt Reynolds' part was intended for Steve McQueen. Lots of things in the movie are actually true. Racers p ... Listen | Listen in your iPhone | Download | View full cache | Visit Website Wrong Number Every once in a while a complete stranger calls my Google Voice (GV) number and leaves a message. The messages aren't always for the same person, so I doubt they are calls intended for whoever owned the number before, if anyone did. Just random mis-dials. GV also has a nifty little YouTube-esq "embed" button that gives you the ability to slap any GV voicemail onto any website with a single click and a quick copy/paste. I hope this guy gets his tee time...

Listen | Listen in your iPhone | Download | View full cache | Visit Website And That's the Way It Is Just a few more days and he could have celebrated the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing with us. Mr. Cronkite talked us through that momentous event live in the summer of 69, becoming visibly emotional as Neil Armstrong stepped off the ladder and boldly went where no man had gone before. News men weren't supposed to get emotional, but every single American watching that night was overwhelmed with the same emotions. For that brief, fleeting moment, he and his viewers were unite ... Listen | Listen in your iPhone | Download | View full cache | Visit Website Priceless This is too funny. It's bad enough that Rush Limbaugh is just making up random shit again, but I about fell out of my chair laughing when Keith actually called him a "big bag of mashed up jackass" on the air. Almost as priceless as when Whoopie called Glenn Beck a "lying sack of dog mess" to his face on The View.
The fun starts about 30 seconds in and the LOL moment is at 1:27.

Listen | Listen in your iPhone | Download | View full cache | Visit Website Amen, Brother! I couldn't agree more! I don't care what the effects on the overall economy are, my tax dollars absolutely should not be used to bail out my dumbass neighbors with the expensive cell phones and the tacky gold trimmed Escalade who bought more house than they could afford while I don't get rewarded at all for living within my means.

I brought it in the house after making sure it wasn't ticking or leaking any powdery substance. Opened it up and after a second of confusion, realized whaat was going on. That's right. My New Year's celebration very much resembled the train scene from Trading Places.
The original plan was to meet at Charlies and party there. Since the light rail was free last night and it was going to run extra late for party goers and there is a station right out front of the bar, I decided to ride the light rail to meet the boys at the bar. Well, the train ... Listen | Listen in your iPhone | Download | View full cache | Visit Website Happy Christmas

Listen | Listen in your iPhone | Download | View full cache | Visit Website Boycott ABC It would seem ABC has refused to air one of Al Gore's new "We can solve it" ads. That's kind of sad considering ABC is owned by Disney and Disney's single biggest share holder is Steve Jobs and Al Gore sits on Apple's board. You would think Steve would be outraged at this kind of behavior and maybe exert a little pressure on Al's behalf. Maybe that just goes to show how much power big oil really has.
It isn't hard to see why ABC would do such a thing. They're trying to protect their big ... Listen | Listen in your iPhone | Download | View full cache | Visit Website Baby Seals Meet the Presidents I spent last evening with Yellow Hat and Mikey and Danny and we had a terrific time. We lucked out and got a table on the patio at California Pizza Kitchen, which was just a few dozen yards from the stage. We ate and drank and watched the show and had a very enjoyable time.Aft ...
