EEE (Triple E)

I've been waiting for this Osaka-based group to put their music on Jindies.com for a long time. And now they are finally here!. EEE, pronounced "Triple E" have nine single MP3s up. They are all great. And not only that, they are all free! (For now that is.) My favorites tunes are "Love Attraction", "Kusei ni", and "Jelly Beans". The sexy, smooth and syrupy, lead female voice on "Kusei-ni" melts my heart! She's like a Japanese version of Anita Baker. Listen to EEE's tunes, download the one ...

Just another Tokyo Night!

On August 25th I went a club in Shibuya called Vuenos to see one of my favorite JIndies Bands, Free Trans Ensemble who I featured on a few WHIT podcasts, mainly WHIT-Q2-011 and WHIT-Q2-009. Headlining that night was a hip hop group called Shade & Blu-Swing. Well they weren't hip hop in the American sense. As usual for the Japanese, they had their own way of doing things.  Their music was kind of love ballad-soft rap against smooth jazz backgrounds.  That instantly made m ...
