Jesus' mission to the poor, the oppressed, the enslaved, and the blind. Jesus said "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor" (Luke 4:18-19).
Serving others like Jesus. Jesus said "The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." (Mark 10:45)
The meaning of communion - the instruction of Christ - Communion symbolizes the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. We look four directions 1) We look back to remember. 2) We look within to examine ourselves. 3) We look around to discern the Body. 4) We look ahead to proclaim his death until he returns.
David’s temptation, moral failure (adultery and murder), broken heart, and painful consequences. God takes away our guilt but the consequences remain (Gal. 6:7-8)
