I am back in full force this week! I have started back to school for my last quarter before graduating, and the workload promises to be fun! I will be getting another car soon, and I am looking forward to that. I also am going to surprise my partner (he never listens to the show, nor does he look at the website) with tickets to Jim Brickman's concert in Saginaw at the Temple Theatre. I have been wating for him to come this close for several years now, and I am not going to miss the opportun ...

Episode 32-Change the World-Peacefully

My condolences go out to the family, friends, and fans of Steve"Crocodile Hunter" Irwin. He was a beautiful soul who worked tirelessly to inform people about exotic and wild life, and was doing so when he received a fatal sting from a stingray. He will be missed. Five years after 9/11, many people still do not feel safer than they did on 9/10/01. I believe that if we are ever to win the "war on terrorism" it will be when we set down our weapons and guarantee at least a mi ...

Episode 31-Go Ahead; I Dare You!

I am just three months from graduating from college and putting an end to an eighteen-year chapter of my life.It feels good to be at this point, and I recognize that many people are to thank for this. The source of all of this encouragement comes from the Christ within--that creative and guiding impulse we all have. This guidance to be more than we thought we could be is the thing which whispers in our ear, "Go ahead; I dare you!"If we are open to the loving intent of this voice and ...

Episode 30-Letting Your Light Shine

I was having some challenges coming up with a topic for this week's episode, and thanks to Tom Holmes of the Deep Fabulousity Podcast, I took a look at the news events for inspiration.I had mentioned one story last week about Virginia Senator George Allen using a potentially derogatory nickname toward a campaign worker for his opponent, Jim Webb. The campaign worker was of Indian (not Native American) descent, but had been born and raised in Fairfax County, Virginia. After several sloppy atte ...

Episode 29-Underneath It All, We Are All One

First of all, a big "Congratulations!!!!" goes out to Fausto Fernos, Marc Felion, Miss Ronnie, Amanda Steinstein, Cesar Torres, Sal-E, and everybody else responsible for the Feast of Fools podcast. The Podcast Awards added a GLBT category this year, and the Feast of Fools not only was nominated, but they won! Feast of Fools was one of the first podcasts to which I subscribed after podcasts were added to iTunes, and I have been a fan ever since. I am totally addicted to the show, a ...

Episode 28-Forgive, Forget, and Move On

Continuing with the theme of creating peace within ourselves and in our world, an important component of achieving peace is to learn to forgive. We only need to look at the situation in the Middle East between Israel and Lebanon to see the destructive effect that unforgivenness has on a group of people. As individuals, we may also hold others in unforgiveness, and we may find that we are just as captive as the person we refuse to forgive. I read from Matthew 18:21-35 and discuss a metaphysic ...

Episode 27-Let Peace Begin With Me

First of all, let me give a big "congratulations" to Lance Bass of the boy band *NSYNC for his decision to come out publicly, and for getting a hunky boyfriend like Reichen Lehmkuhl. You go, Lance! Also, a shoutout to Garrett Husveth and Brent Dolan of the Haunted New Jersey Podcast. I have had an interest in paranormal phenomena for quite some time, and their podcast is a great source of info. They have been doing recordings in the warehouse where their studio is located, and I h ...

Episode 26-Happy, No Matter What!

Sometimes it is easy for us to base happiness on the outcome of our own, or somebody else's life. Additionally, it is easy for us to base happiness on things going on around us. Being able to be happy in the face of anything that presents itself to us is true freedom and safety. The challenge is to stay centered on the Truth within: we are powerful, creative, and capable of being more than our human mind allows us to think. I know this challenge firsthand, as I have been dealing with some s ...

Episode 25-Creating a New Reality

Well, I have made it to twenty-five episodes, now! Seems like just yesterday I was beginning this thing. If you have been listening to my podcast since episode 1, then thank you, and please email me or voicemail me.Continuing with the new direction for the podcast, I discuss the idea of creating a new reality. Episode 24-Pass On Love

In this past week, I've grown more concerned as the situation in Iraq and Iran seems nowhere near a resolution, North Korea test-fired missiles that either landed in the Sea of Japan or broke up in the air, and then North Korea's leader, Kim Jong Il, said more tests would be coming. And then, there is the big question of the current and future state of the environment...what has brought us seemingly to the brink of destruction? Could it be that the answer is so simple as we have forgot ...

Episode 22-Net Neutrality-Part Deux

Due to the better sound quality of my mic, I have recorded new voiceovers for the intro, contact and outro parts of my show. Hopefully, these sound better than the old ones. My life is going great, so I'll get to the point. I talked about net neutrality one time before, and since then, the House of Representatives has passed a bill that would gut net neutrality and slow or block access to websites purely at the discretion of the telecommunications companies. This bill would also take away lo ...

Episode 21-Affirmative Prayer

Everything is going great here. I am still out of school and the job is going great. I will be in summer school, due to the way this accelerated degree program is set up. I don't mind that, since it will be only two more terms and I will be a college graduate. Yeehaw! This week, I received some guidance to go back to a more spiritual episode and discuss the idea of affirmative prayer. It's different from the prayer most people may have learned, and it is a powerful tool for creating the kin ...

Sorry this episode was late. I was a busy person this past week, but things should be slower come next week. I am done with school for a couple of weeks, and I am looking forward to the break. The job is going great, and I am enjoying doing what I am doing. The Federal Marriage Amendment was defeated in the US Senate this past week, only getting 50 votes out of the required 67 to send it to the House. Episode 16-The Campaign to Preserve Net Neutrality

We have the privilege of accessing practically any content anywhere on the internet, provided the owner of that content has granted permission for access. No internet service provider has the right to block or slow down access to that content in favor of any other content. This is known as "net neutrality" and it is something that internet users take for granted. This freedom is in danger, and could be eliminated if a bill in the US Congress, HR5252, becomes law. This bill would g ...

This has been a busy week for me so far! I started my new job Monday and have spent HOURS in front of a computer learning about sales techniques, more info about washers and dryers than I thought I would ever want to know, and just how to be a good active listener. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to draw unemployment for the time I was without a job, but I am also glad to be able to transition off of it. Episode 11-The Return of Life

Happy Easter, everybody! This celebration originated with the celebration of the Spring Equinox and the apparent return of life to the world. Under the Christian tradition, the celebration was modified to celebrate the return of life to Jesus' body. Resurrection is possible for all of us, because we unconsciously call life into our bodies every time we heal from disease and/or injury. Imagine the possibilies if we consciously called forth life! I invite you to call forth life today and enjo ...
