As the latest UN climate conference comes to a close in Durban, One Planet goes in search of $100bn - the Green Climate Fund unveiled last year in the fallout of the failed Copenhagen summit, designed to help the most vulnerable nations adapt to climate change. Developing nations claim the fund is reparations for the damage they will suffer under climate change, but arguments have dogged efforts to get it off the ground. We report on the negotiations from Durban.

The Kyoto Protocol was designed to slow the global growth in greenhouse gases - but it was also created to push large amounts of investment towards developing countries. As Africa is the poorest continent in the world, and is the region most vulnerable to climate change, Kyoto should have proved a boon to Africa. It hasn't.
