SiM000 trialcast - some samples to start with...This zeroeth episode introduces why this podcast is here and reveals a bit what we want to achieve. Inserted are some snippets of tracks that were recorded back in November of 2003 but never got to see the daylight. Since I am still experimenting, this is a short episode, just to see if we can go through the right steps. For comments and info please contact serge.audenaert@gmail.com

SiM001 - VoicesEpisode 1 of Samples in Motion
Based on a little project I did a few years ago. Recorded an interview of some kind and removed all that I felt could be removed to keep what is left.... Some sculpting if you like. From speech to sound sculpture - I like the sound of putting it like this.
I would like to invite you to participate in the show by sending comments by email or even better, by mp3 to info@samplesinmotion.com. If you want to contribute an intro or extro to the show, please feel f ... Listen | Listen in your iPhone | Download | View full cache | Visit Website
SiM002 - Focus and FormatEpisode 2 of Samples in Motions brings focus and format to the show. The key focus is on collaborative compositions of sound constructs. SiM004 - Convenient MultitrackingWe feature the Kristal Audio Engine, a 16-channel multitrack freeware PC software with support for VST plugins. We submit this to the test at two levels. First, we use it to compose a 12-track sound construct which we mix down to a stereo WAV file. Then we import this WAV file again in the SiM004 master project where we insert the voice track and the background audio tracks. Key samples of the SiM004 soundscape are provided here below and you are invided to use all your creative talents and ... Listen | Listen in your iPhone | Download | View full cache | Visit Website
SiM005 - Halloween, first listener's contributionIn this episode, we feature the first listeners contribution. Herwig Van Marck designed a soundsculpture based on the samples I provided in episode 2, more specifically the ambient track. Herwig made some really cool transformations on that track, mainly in the frequency domain, by intelligently shifting up and down frequency bands. The result turned out to be so creepy that I simply HAD to reserve it for a halloween edition! Please send your comments and contributions to info@samplesinmoti ... SiM006 - WildscapeThe construct we are presenting in this show was made using only outboard equipment where a single 'bird chant' sample was manipulated in different ways. SiM008 - Producing a short soundscapeWe use the 'audiopaint' tool to create a number of two-second samples, then we take some ambient recordings. Put all of this on different tracks, apply effects, cut, crop trim and there we have a 30-second soundscape :-Listen | Listen in your iPhone | Download | View full cache | Visit Website
