We stayed all day in Kobe to see the Christmas lights, and left around 7:00pm. We arrived at Nagoya Station around 5:20am because of the weather conditions. Usually, it only takes about four hours from Nagoya to Kobe, but because some truck drivers decided to sleep the snow out in the middle of the highway, we ended up waiting for six hours more until they decided to wake up and keep driving. They've already put up the Christmas decorations around the station, along with the trees. The lights with the star signs are pretty cool, but everything else is kind of cheesy. And there's nothing like glowing, green mushrooms to celebrate the spirit of Christmas. Snowmen...check. Deer...check. Santa...check. Psychedelic mushrooms...check. It was so beautiful, no camera can do it justice. This is the first time I've been to Kyoto in the fall. The other times were always in the winter when all of the leaves were already off the trees. If you get a chance someday, I highly encourage you to go to KiyomizuDera in the fall.
