This band is an instrumental surf act that recently reunited. They originally “took a break” back in 2001. It’s an improvised comedy mockumentary about a support group for anyone with any kind of problem. It’s been shown in festivals around the country and has gotten some really great reviews. Alt Country, also known as Alternative Country is basically a hybrid of traditional country and punk and/or rock and roll. Uncle Tupelo, for instance, was one of the legendary acts that played this kind of music and called the St. Louis area home. It occupies a former 1930’s-era art deco police station on the southside of the city.
