It was a rainy day in the fall of 1974 when I received a phone call fromBones Howe. Bones said he wanted to send someone over to my studio in Hollywood. He thought we would make a terrific match. I asked Bones the name of the artist. Bones said, "Warren Zevon."

I asked Bones why he did not want to work with Warren if he (Bones) thought he was such a greatwriter. Bones said, (and I quote), "Both of you are crazy. I think it will be a perfect match."

The day Warren and his wifeCrystalcame to the studio, water was leaking from our roof and I was running all over the place, situating pots and bowls, anything I could find to catch water.

Warren and Crystal came into the studio and I apologized for the water. I had just gotten the studio (Hollywood Central Recorders), up to operational level. We were running aStephens8 track at the time and were nearing completion of another control room.

I asked Warren if he would play something for me. Warren sat down at the Baldwin and proceeded to play a host of songs with which I fell in love. "Poor, Poor, Pitiful Me", "Desperadoes Under The Eaves", "Werewolves Of London" and many more.

It took a month or so for me to sell a publishing company I owned toDick James Musicin England before I had the capital to record Warren. Then we had the greatest party of all time. From this bash came some of the most righteous rock and roll ever recorded.

This product has never been released and resides in a bank deposit vault in Sherman Oaks.

BluePowerhas been operating at a deficit for over eleven years now and it's time we had some operating capital.

I am putting the Warren Zevon Masters up for sale as of this moment. If anyone is interested in purchasing these masters, please contact me, (John Rhys) at....blupwr@sbcglobal.net.

Songs Included are: "Poor, Poor, Pitiful Me", "Werewolves Of London", "Accidently Like A Martyr", "The French Inhaler", "Studebaker"(unreleased), "Desperados Under The Eaves", "Frank And Jesse James", "Working Man's Pay" (unreleased), "Hasten Down The Wind" and "Mama Couldn't Be Persuaded".

BTW....The titles are the same but the energy level is far superior to Warren's original release onElectra. They even made Warren change some of his lyrics because they felt they were a bit too biting. What a shame! You may hear Warren at his very best, before "the business" got to him.

I will look forward to hearing from you.
