in the dream
in the night
i shall stop the bus
halfway
and get out

i shall not let you die

i shall put out
the cigarette
on the nearby wall
and through the hole
look out
at what comes -and –goes
in the world

i shall not let you die

a foot will step
over my head
and pass the border of my joy

i shall not let you die.
