Being in one’s highest space is something that can be brought on at will, once you know how to do it. You don’t have to wait for those moments of clarity and peace to come on by themselves. The knob you turn inside is the attention. Normally today we all live in a state of distraction because we are trying to attend to many things at once. Most of those things are happening outside ourselves and so we are paying very little attention to what is going on inside ourselves. This leaves us vulnerable to being swept away by negative feelings and counterproductive thoughts without catching ourselves immediately. The knob of attention can be turned the other way. That opposite state is called Contemplation. We are immersed, singlepointed in our attention, which gracefully flows from highest priority to next highest priority and so on, and what we do in each moment is our best performance.
