Progress!
Thanks andthanks againto my new best friendSam. Who possesses a keen ability to explain things as if he’s talking to a moron… (me). And he spouts out mp3s faster than you can blink.
Music! Music! Music!
- I Can’t Touch You Anymore :: The Magnetic Fields
I like this song because of it’ssweetmessage and dance-y beat.
- Get Me Away From Here, I’m Dying :: Belle& Sebastian
This song is totally’*Twee*t! You can enjoy it anywhere. In line at the post office, all by your lonesome in the car… stuck in traffic.
It can turn an unpleasant situation into something well, more pleasant.
- To Get To Sleep :: British Sea Power
I have a hard time staying asleep, falling asleep… etc. So, this song sings to me.
Okay, I said“Nyquil” but I meant Nytol. :P He even suggests a little Melatonin.
- Each Coming Night :: Iron& Wine
Well, I cried when I first heard this song… and spent an evening playing it in my headphones on repeat. It’s just a perfect song. I can’t wait to see I&W next week. Many thanks to my friends who gave me this CD, especially to Scottie B!
- City Calm Down :: Architecture In Helsinki
Love this band from Australia.Fingers Crossedis a pretty excellent album from start to finish. It’s perfect mellow evening music. They’re doing a small tour and I plan on seeing them again this weekend (if I can make it in time).
- You Only Live Once :: The Strokes
One of those“leaked” tracks from their new album. It’s not bad.
- This Charming Man :: The Smiths
Ohhh, an old favorite. I just love singing…“when the leather runs smooth on the passenger seeEaat…”
I’ll be dancing it up to The Smiths, as performed by the Sweet& Tender Hooligans this weekend.
- Voices Carry :: Til Tuesday
Since I’m seeing Aimee Mann on Saturday. Thought I’d play this oldie from the 80’s. I hope she does it so I can finally sing along, live to“He said‘Shutup!’ He said‘Shutup! Oh God, can’t you keep it dowwwwwwwnnn!’”
Enjoy your weekend everyone.
And thanks again for listening!
Sorry, no Rob Thomas this time. I know, you got your hopes all up again. Soon. I promise.
