Thanks to a series of innovations, ranging from flex fuel cars to process improvements in sugar processing, Brazil plans to be energy independent in 2006. Bio-fuels have enabled the country to keep its use of gasoline from growing, and have also revitalized its sugar industry. Can other countries follow in Brazil's path?
