Many millennia ago in the age called Treta-yuga, the Supreme Personality of Godhead Lord Sri Krishna appeared as King Rama, or Ramachandra. His adventures were recorded by the poet Valmiki in the Sanskrit scripture Ramayana, the world's oldest book.
