We speak again this week to the Libforall founder and CEO, Holland Taylor, and asked him if moderate Muslims aren't laying themselves open to charges of collaborating with Western infidels if they work with his group.

You may have read about a conference on the Indonesian island of Bali, at which a Czech Holocaust survivor gave a moving address to a multi-faith conference, attended by many Muslim leaders.

It was designed at act as a counterweight to the recent Iranian Conference which maintained that A) the Holocaust didn't happen, B) it did happen but it was nowhere near as bad as those pesky Jews keep saying, and C) it did happen but Hitler didn't do a thorough enough job so now the Muslims have to finish it for him.

But at the conference, held on the mainly Hindu island of Bali, Indonesia's former president, Abdurrahman Wahid, also known as Gus Dur, denounced Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for branding the Holocaust a myth. The meeting was organised by the Libforall Foundation.

In Blog News this week we look at how the Australian Navy dealt a little differently with Iranian capture attempts compared to the Royal Navy. More details can be found at Little Green Footballs.

Tim Blair has more on the BBC's internal report and on how it tried to solicit information that might, in the hands of an enemy lead to the death of British or American soldiers. My license fee is truly being put to good use there.

I have to admit that it's Tom finding some of our weird Fatwas of the week so it's him you have to blame for a link to this website: Islamicity. Go there for more details on exactly how many times you have to wash your hands after touching a dog owner.

For the BBC article behind the reasons why Salman Rushdie was knighted, look here.

Meryl Yourish is telling us about Kurt Waldheim.

This week Damian Penny can't stay away from Jimmy Carter. He refers to the following post from Michael Totten and a Jerusalem Post article about Carter.
