Link to the Show / Show NotesHighBridge Company was honored to re-release this collection of Kurt Vonnegut short stories entitled BAGOMBO SNUFFBOX this June, and only saddened that the occasion was the death of the author. There isn't a critic, a student, or an aspiring writer who hasn't praised or cursed--or alternately praised and cursed--Vonnegut for his contribution to American writing. He forced us to think right when we thought we were just being entertained--and that made the review, or the book report, or our own work of fiction just that much harder to write. He raised the bar. And now he is gone.
