Beim Hören dieses Liedes wird klar, wo der Ort ist an dem den ganzen Tag über die Sonne scheint, nämlich in den Herzen der Musiker von “Lessazo”. Ich weiß noch nicht genau, wieviele Kohlen ich durch das Anhören dieser Musik im Winter sparen werde, aber ich bin sicher, dass die Musik von “Lessazo” die Welt verändern wird. Das klingt vielleicht ein Bißchen komisch und naiv. Aber an Lessazos Doppel-Album “Soleil d’hiver” haben 14 Musiker aus Mali zusammen mit 14 Musikern aus Frankreich musiziert, was allein schon sehr ungewöhnlich ist. Der Punkt ist aber, dass diese, von den Künstlern unter die Licence Art Libre gestellte, Musik sehr kraftvoll und trotzdem weich und liebevoll klingt und mit einem unglaublichem Aufwand arrangiert worden ist, was dieses Album zu einem riesigen und wundervollen Geschenk für alle Menschen macht. Zumindest für die mit Audio-Playern, die das OGG-Format unterstützen ;)
Caroline von “Lessazo” schrieb zur Frage, warum sie diese Lieder unter eine Freie Lizenz stellen: “Wir haben über freie Lizenzen durch Guillaume gehört, der sehr aktiv in der Gemeinschaft ist, speziell rund um die “Licence Art Libre”. Wir haben diese Art der Verteilung von Kunst und Musik sehr interessant gefunden, speziell die Idee des Austausches und die Möglichkeit für andere Menschen Dein Lied zu spielen ohne dabei in Beziehung von Geld oder rechtlichen Dingen Komplikationen zu haben. Wir fanden weiterhin, dass auf diese Art und Weise mehr Menschen die Möglichkeit haben unsere Musik zu hören”
“Seid Ihr professionelle Musiker, oder was macht Ihr nebenher falls Ihr noch andere Tätigkeiten ausübt?” – “Die Frage ob Musik unser Beruf ist, können wir erst seit ein paar Monaten mit Ja beantworten. Manche von uns haben andere Jobs gekündigt um Musik machen zu können (wir waren fünf oder sechs Monate lang in Mali unterwegs und werden das wieder tun, um ein Projekt mit den malischen Musikern fortzusetzen mit denen wir auf “Soleil d’hiver” gespielt haben). Im Moment investieren wir allerdings nur, wir beginnen gerade erst damit, das Projekt ökonomisch beständig zu machen ;)
Genug geschrieben und gelesen. Ich würde mich freuen, wenn Du Dir das Lied und vielleicht noch ein paar andere auf “Lessazos” Homepage anhörst und sie genau so gut findest wie ich. Oder sogar noch besser ;)

Whilst listening to this song it get’s obvious where the place is where the sun is shining all day long: in the hearts of the musicians of “Lessazo”. I don’t know how much coals exactly I will save in the next winter because of listening to this music, but I’m sure that the music of “Lessazo” is going to change the world. This may sound funny and naiv. But 14 musicians from Mali and 14 musicians from France came together to make the music for the double album “Soleil d’hiver”, which in itself is quite unusual. But the actual point is that this music, which has been put under the Licence Art Libre by the musicians, is very powerful, yet soft and lovingly and probably with immense efforts arranged, and thus makes this album a great and wonderful gift to all humans. At least to those with OGG-able audio-players ;)
Caroline of “Lessazo” wrote about the question why they put their songs under a free licence: “We learned about free licences from Guillaume who is very dynamic in the community, around the “Licence Art Libre” especially. We found this approach of music and art distribution interesting, the idea of exchange and the possibility for other people to play your song without complication in terms of money or legacy things. We found also that in this way more people could have the opportunities to hear the music.”
“Are you professionel musicians or what else are you doing if you have other things to do?” – About if music is our profession, we can say yes since a few months only. Some of us have quit other jobs to be disponible (we passed and will pass again 5 or 6 mounth in Mali to continue a music band with the malian who played on “soleil d’hiver”). For the moment it is investissement, we are just starting to organise things as to try to make the project economically consistent ;-)
