Swearing is merely the ultimate non-violent expression of anger, frustration, acclamation, and excitement. Regardless of the emotional source, such expressions make for powerful, interesting conversations and generally add to the passion of a moment. Yet, concurrently, they can be quite disconcerting if not done with some sensitivity to etiquette. Hence, Dr. Farsi has devised some fairly simple rules for how best to swear—to make that desired expression of passion--in formal occasions.
