First single taken from Sofamecca's new album 'Commuters'.

It�s not the first time that traditional instruments have been jammed up against machine music but it is one of the few where it�s not juxtaposition but a seamless combining of the two elements.The vocals are as lush as are the electronic soundscapes � these provide the core of the music, the sun which the guitars etc. orbit around. �Omar Sharif� has a comet of keyboards circling around trailing a tail of joy. �Insects� has angular guitars taking off for galaxies afar, �Saturdays� has arpeggio (probably) synthetic strings bristling like satellites, Hawaiian guitars and squelches of noise all melded together in a retro-futurist stew. Tinkling stars of keyboards and sheets of pedal steel form as Milky Way vortex on �Crimson Veil�. Saving the best for last, �Lost in a Day� adds a welcome return to earth though the music tries constantly to break free of the songs atmosphere, the perfectly pitched vocal anchoring everything down.
