Edition #82 of Radio MacGuys It looks like my problem with Safari and redirects is being noted by lots of other people. The problem seems to be with sites registered to GoDaddy. According to the Washington Post (registration required), BellSouth has withdrawn their offer the use of one of their damaged buildings in New Orleans by the police after the city announced that it would provide free high speed wireless internet access. A cool project was covered in The Unofficial Apple Weblog today. A guy in the Netherlands has posted a project page on how to build an iPod charger for your bicycle. Apple's new and totally amazing photo editing application, Aperture. Not any old Mac will run Aperture. Fun the Compatibility Checker to see if your system makes the cut. Aperture costs $499 from Apple, or you can buy it from Amazon at a 10% discount. US mega-ISP Comcast has acknowledged an issue with email sent from Comcast accounts not making it to Hotmail or MSN mailboxes. Real Networks has ported their subscription music service, Rhapsody, to MacOS. The American Civil Liberties Union has filed suit in the matter of the new FCC rules that require ISP's, Universities, and other internet providers to incorporate technology that allows the FBI access to users data transmissions remotely. Wired Magazine is covering the story of a 55 year old civil engineer from Anchorage Alaska who plans to install a 200 ton cyclotron in his garage. The neighbors have other ideas. Apple has launched a new web site, iPod 101, full of hints, tips and specs for iPod owners. The Adobe/Macromedia acquisition is a done deal.
