We are featuring bands available on the label.Killjoy Confetti "formerly known as Arcade"Sonic female indie rock that proves once and for all that your mom rocks harder than your dad. Lyrically compelling stories set to beautiful and creative musicianship. Think: Liz Phair, Planesmistakenforstars, Enon, Sleater-Kinney, Sonic Youth.SAABABANKSNoise candy. Live or recorded, this is a perfect blend for those that enjoy a slouch and copious amounts of vicoden. Mathy and harmonious. Think: Big Black, Shellac, The Jesus Lizard, June of 44, Polvo, Slint...bloarzeydA relentless assault of prehistorically loud, growling bass and tightly controlled, complex drum patterns. Phil sings. Live, the band's sophisticated, unpredictable, tight, razor sharp performance is loud enough to reach obscene proportions and has seen people running to the exits and becoming physically ill. But you know, they're smiling the whole time. Think: Godheadsilo with jazzy interludes, Unsane noise, feedback in general, the Kids In the Hall...the lou reedsNoisy, revolutionary (in the molotov cocktail sense). Elegant, but, at times, brutal. These guys have been around forever and STILL don't have a full-length album out. Tell them they suck for it next time you see them. Think: Sonic Youth, Shellac, The Jesus Lizard, Mogwai, something funny and profound...The PlusA hard charging live band that pulls no punches while performing an agressive, high energy, and, above all, honest show. Sound wise, The Plus borrow a little from the past and a little from the present Think: Rolling Stones, Pavement, Archers of Loaf, Velvet Underground, The Who, Sonic Youth...The Everydays Pop-o-matic the way pop was intended- for mature (?) adults (and a few enlightened kids). Really...Enough with the muscle guy hardcore. Harmonies from the heavens and melodies from Mars. Think: REM (if Michael Stipe wasn't such a wuss), Nick Cave, tame Pavement...The Lipstick VogueNoise pop (and not too shabby dancers either). Find a melody, milk it for all its worth, then fuck it up.There you have The Lipstick Vogue. Think: Elvis Costello, Sebadoh, Dinosaur Jr.... Days and Nights in the Skeleton Crew Synth without the wuss...Digitized, but not overdone. Girls screaming and drumming with guys carrying the tune. Think: Cradle of Filth without the cheese or filth, some record your parents took away from you when you were a kid...Days and Nights in the Skeleton CrewSynth without the wuss...Digitized, but not overdone.
