So was it right to pay taxes in such a situation? Some religious leaders tried to back Jesus into a corner with that very question. In today's verses,Luke 20:24,25from theNew Living Translation, we find his response:"Show me a Roman coin. Whose picture and title are stamped on it?""Caesar's,"they replied."Well then,"he said,"give to Caesar what belongs to him.
