Today's Podcast from the Swamp features JRoller co-author Dave Johnson. Dave gave a presentation for a special combinedcombined GatorJUG/OrlandoJUG gathering in Orlando onWednesday, Dec 8 2004. Dave talked about blogging and gave some insights about where he believes things are heading. He also sharedsome pretty amazing ideas about useful ways to put blogs to work. He gave a birds-eye view of JRoller's architecture that only he, asan author, could give. He talked about the scaling crises the JRoller servers ran into and how caching and other approaches solved them.This was a very special talk by someone whose development talents and generosity have enabled many of us to enjoy a well thought out piece ofblogging software, hosted free and maintained through the tireless efforts of a volunteer team of crack developers.
