In this exclusive "ADD Church" podcast, Pastor Jerry builds upon the last podcast and interview with Karen Long (author of "If You Don't Die to Self, I May Have to Kill You"). Karen noted that one of the lessons she had to learn was that she was no victim--no survivor. To underscore that lesson, Jerry shares a modern day "pastoral epistle." It is a letter of encouragement that he wrote to a real woman--the wife of a very ADHD man. In the letter, Pastor Jerry refers to the story "Selah," who was the daughter Jephthah (see Judges chapter 11). Jerry wrote: "In your surrender, you join hands with Selah, the daughter of Jephthah. She was caused to suffer by the stupidity of a man. God had already decided the battle for Israel. Jephthah, the judge, had only to pursue the enemy and collect the spoil. Still, he made a vile vow that angered the Lord. He promised to sacrifice the first life that came from his house to greet him. God knew that Jephthah’s daughter Selah would come out first and it grieved the Lord. But Selah surrendered herself willingly."
