Allen's father was a messenger. He had spiritual powers that Allen wanted to get. His father would train him in that way. When Allen was old enough, his father sent him to a boarding school in Tuscon. It was there that Allen was introduced to alcohol, drugs, and gangs. These would change his life. When he returned to the rez, he was a different person... and no one liked it.
