Link to the Show / Show NotesUsing the promise of God to Abram regarding the "promised land" (Gen. 12) as a springboard, Benny looks at how God's promise most often comes with a process. As Israel had to take the land, fight for the land that God had promised them, had "given" them (Gen. 17:8, Exodus 6:8, Numbers 13:2, etc.). So it is today with us as people and with us as a congregation. God has given us His word about the merging of Grace Outreach and Crossroads Christian Center but that doesn't mean that we can sit back and wait for it to happen we have to obey God and take possession of His promise. This involves laying down our expectation and trusting God as He gives us the plan to go forward.
