Brother James orders the counsellors at the hall of prophecies to perform a mysterious ritual. Sebastian, the brother of the deceased Clarissa Morgan, takes Lucy Wolff hostage and demands to speak with David Neilson who has returned to Cornelius Blackwater’s cottage after leaving hospital. In the meantime, Thomas Blackwater visits the maker of the wheel of fate, Hugo Kingsman, at his jewellery store in Glastonbury. Saffron, the Seer, and Thomas Blackwater meet.
