Heavy Creatures is a Greenpoint 4-piece. We just finished our 2nd CD called the Cymbal and the Skull. It has rad art that we handstamped ourselves onto each cover while drinking a lot of wine one stormy night. Bands we look to for inspiration: early Heart and Shocking Blue. Kelley (guitar-vocals)hails from a family of southern gospel piano players. Sarah (keyboard-vocals-percussion) has been in a cornucopia of musical projects since her days at Oberlin and also plays in the political marching band The Rude Mechanical Orchestra. Patrick (drums), is a tube amp technician extraordinaire at Brooklyn's Main Drag Music, and also drums for The Big City Stompers and studies with Jim White of the Dirty Three. Christopher (bass), also plays with Another Saturday Night and Grande and earned his stripes on several international tours (last with The Kowalskis) and in the NYC music scene opening for Soundgarden at CBGB in '89.
