There is a popular perception of zen practice that it is a practice of quietude, not an active practice, and not a practice for activists. In this talk Daido Roshi explains how this could not be further from the truth. True skilful activism arises from the recognition of the nature of reality, a nature that is based on the inseparability of essence and function.
