From April 1-3, GMF held the Bucharest Conference, a three-day gathering with panel discussions featuring leaders surrounding the role NATO in the international community. The conference was held alongside the official 2008 NATO Summit and provided a forum for leading policymakers, opinion leaders, scholars, and business people from both sides of the Atlantic to discuss the most pressing issues facing NATO and the international community. From June 7-21, NPR Berlin broadcasted two panels from the conference in a three-part series.
