June 30, 2008: 100th, ASCAP, and Censorship

Â2008 by Neighborhood Stage Productions, LLC

*** WARNING: Not a bad show but not as CLEAN as we normally are. Not recommended for children ***

Well, we finally have our 100th episode, but without all the pomp and circumstance we had been planning on.

This week the hosts play "catch-up" with each other. We also replay an interview we did last November with Vincent Candilora from ASCAP about the AACT/ASCAP license that allows community theatre venues to play recorded music during pre-show, intermission, and post-show.   The deadline for purchase or renewal is August 31th...so we thought a refresher was in order.

We also discuss a case of censorship that is going on in Illinois surrounding the show Ragtime.

We continue our "Broadway News (in five minutes or less)" segment, have some more "Editors Gone Wild" headlines.
