Teresa Smith - Realtor www.livingonlakelanier.com and Len Jernigan - Aqualand Marina Manager http://www.aqualandmarina.com/ were quite busy this past 4 weeks. Along with the generous help of many, they put together a hugely successful benefit to raise money for Lesli Smith's cancer treatment.
Lesli has been fighting a brave battle against IBC (inflammatory breast cancer) which has spread to her Brain. She went to MD Anderson in Houston for much of her treatment, including chemo, radiation, surgeries and more. She is an inspiration to all who know her including yours truly.

The event was held on Saturday, October 25th, 2008. You could not have asked for a more glorious, sunny day than we had Saturday. What a turn out for Lesli and her Family.
It was called "A Day at the Lake For Lesli" who is also a Realtor and along with her husband "J", owns Lake Lanier Lodges http://www.lakelanierlodges.com/ just outside the entry gate to Aqualand Marina.
