They were born and raised in the same scene that gave us the Afghan Whigs. They released a 7" early on in the original Sub Pop singles club and several more scattered throughout the 90's. Early on they were primarily a guitar/bass/drum outfit with a little twang, but over the years they have become much more open and experimental with their sound.
