Back to Basics: The Thing Itself January 4, 2009

We enter a New Year with an focus for the entire year:
Courting the Divine in 2009: A Year of Spiritual Liberation
We begin with an intention and go back to the basics, to the fundamentals of our belief system. A firm grasp on the fundamentals will support us well.
The Thing Itself comes from the question: What is God?
God is first cause, spirit, mind, the invisible essence, the ultimate stuff of the universe, the power back of creation, the fundamental building blocks. Everything comes from here.
The Infinite wanted to know itself and it created from itself, therefore it can know about it’s infinite creativity through us, it’s creation! We are each made in the image and likeness of the Infinite.
1. We are to know ourselves
2. The truth sets us free. Freedom is our birthright and it takes our commitment
3. We create our reality through right thinking. We replicate the same process that created us. To learn how to think is to learn how to live. Our thoughts go into a medium and can come forth with everything that we desire if we are in alignment with Universal harmony. We must embody.
Embodiment is the key!
Questions to ponder:
1. Is it helpful for you to have God described as invisible essence, ultimate“stuff” of the universe, first cause?
2. What does it mean for you to know that you are made in the image and likeness of the Infinite?
3. What does“embodiment” mean to you?
