Buju vs Four Tet vs Madvillain.
Jesus, it’s taken me 25 attempts to get this posted, not at all sure it’s worth the effort.
Somewhat cathartic getting this tune out of my head and up here on this here board.
I love serato (that digital DJing thingy), but to be honest, the possibilities are so endless that I never really record anything.
I recorded this with good ole’ records a while ago and I thought I’d post after a) the taunts from big al and b) my drunken bravado on the number of mashups I have going.
The instrumental is “Money Folder” from the fabulous stones throw remix ep that this blog has payed homage to already.
The vocal is the mighty Buju.
Not quite sure who’s responsible for what in this, but is a Four Tet remix of the Madlib and MF Doom collaboration.
