Link to the Show / Show NotesManuel de Falla spent the years before World War I in Paris, and that's where he befriended Debussy and Ravel. Before returning to Spain in 1914, he put together these brilliant song settings, using natural overtones in the accompaniment, rather than traditional modal scales. It's performed by members of the Chameleon Ensemble.
