Link to the Show / Show NotesRocking out in PBR style which is“lite” in most people’s opinions, I’m sure. So, don’t worry. This is very easy listening.
World Destruction– Time Zone: Ah yes, this song takes me WAAAYYY BACK!
Peach Kelli Pop– Redd Kross: LOVE the beginning of this song, the countdown screams. And when the song would kick in everyone would go NUTS. My favorite, sweatiest, rocking out moments were from Redd Kross shows. They kick ass live. I mean, where even my hair was completely soaked in sweat! Gross, I know, but it still rocks to me.
Love Removal Machine– The Cult: I’ve mentioned Ian Astbury before on my site. That sad man. I used to go to this dance“club” in highschool every Friday and this was a song that would always be played and now, I can’t even imagine myself dancing to it. BUT, this song rules, guitars and claps and drums…“look out here she comes!” Too rad.
Had A Dad– Jane’s Addiction: LOVE the beginning of this song.“Nothing’s Shocking” is in my top ten list of fave albums ever. I’d play the entire album, and was tempted to! I mention“Ted, Just Admit It”... what an amazing, rocking song… you probably remember the chorus, scream of“Sex is vi-o-lent!” You know, I could sing that song word for word right now, without the music.I think it’s forever burned into my memory. Best show ever back in those days. I remember a girl jumped up on stage and Perry was polishing off a bottle of red wine, she jumped on him and they practically had sex on stage. Rock& ROLL!
Institutionalized– Suicidal Tendencies: You have to listen to the lyrics because they rawk!“All I wanted was a Pepsi” became my theme song… always referred to during conversations, it become code for“My f***ing parents!”
You Got It– Mudhoney: This song kicks A**! I’m sure everyone knows someone who thinks they“got it”. Word. I bet you thought I was going to play“Touch Me I’m Sick”!
Thanks for listening.
