Link to the Show / Show NotesThe Salt Lake County Council has now held two meetings this year. And already, there are weighty issues to deal with, such as an internal review of the county's planning department in the wake of the departure of its director and three employees being put on leave. And of course there's the economic downturn and what will likely be much lower tax revenues coming in this year. Dealing with all of this are the two new faces on the council, Republican Max Burdick and Democrat Jani Iwamoto. Mr. Burdick represents District Six to the south, Ms. Iwamoto represents District Four to the east.
