Shhh….. (whispers)..... I did this one secretly while the women of my family sat in the next room watching television and talking on cell phones. And myself, here, going on hour fourteen of a full-on headache.
The“she-themed” podcast playlist:
1.“She Don’t Come Around”–Bill Ricchini:: Oh man, this is my new favorite song in the whole world. His words = poetry.
I wonder what Bill thinks of his own voice because honestly, I’m totally in love with it. And to quote Moz here, Bill:“you have a lovely singing voice…”!
You can hear more songs from the upcoming album on his site (link below). Everyone must buy this one! Or I’ll buy it for you. I mean it!
2.“She Looks At Me”–That Dog:: Wow, I really play a lot of them. Well, they were a pretty cool girl band, in my opinion. You gotta love the harmonic“Lalalalalalas…” at the end.
3.“The Girl From Back Then”–Kings Of Convenience:: Yah, yah, yah, all Erlend hate aside, I still love the music, okay? But he’s a dick and you can quote me on that one. He made everyone snap during this song.
4.“Nightmare Girl”–Aimee Mann:: All hail the Queen! She is my favorite female artist. Period.
5.“Caterpillar Girl”–Lou Barlow:: I love the way he sings about girls, women, relationships, heart break.
6.“She Wanted”–Exene Cervenka:: Simply put, she’s awesome. (Thanks J for the mp3)
7.“She Goes On”–Crowded House:: Dusting off the old Crowded House CD’s for this one. I know, who am I kidding? I listen to them ALL the time. ;) I love them. There’s something so corny and delightful about their songs. Especially the album,“Woodface”.
And that concludes my marathon podcasting with my mother in the next room, wondering who I’m talking to in my bedroom…
I am a grown woman!
Really,I am.
