Velosheen was started from pieces of a Austin band called Spiral Station.
Erik Arhelger (guitars, keyboards, drums) and James Arhelger (bass & guitars) were quickly joined by singer songwriter Lindsay Noah (vocals, keyboards).
The three members wrote the music and lyrics and started recording new songs in December 2000.
Dave Davis joined the group as the drummer in early 2001.
Spankee joined on bass after Erik moved to San Antonio to start Medical School.
Velosheen's music is a mix of melodic guitar pop, driving bass lines, & cool rhythms with female vocals.
Influences: The Sundays, Tori Amos, Sarah McLachlan, U2, Cocteau Twins and many others
Instruments: Voice, guitars, bass, drums, drum machine, misc. percussion, keyboards, electronics
