Back on the airwaves after a weeks break due to other commitments and broadcasting from the Planet Radio studio down in Tenerife whilst on a little break. It's always a bit of a weird one though working in a new studio with a whole host of new equipment and being thrown in at the deep end with no engineer but at least the music is still good even if the presenting is a little shaky as I'm trying to work out what to slide or press! Kicking off this week with a trio of Big Dada releases. After the Speech Debelle Mercury prize win they are hotter than hot and certainly not resting on their laurels with a whole host of great releases in the pipeline. The reclusive DSL has given Boozou Bajou their hottest remix by far and I can only wish he was a bit more active! Bonobo is about to drop his latest album, check a great little remix from the first single from the project. Nailah is a hot new vocal talent from the West Coast of the states with a great voice, expect big things from her. Keeping it jazzy i also drop another spiritual jazz work from the great Dutch crew, Kindred Spirits Ensemble and some fresh dancefloor jazz from the Milano Jazz Dance Combo. Al Kent is a modern day disco don right up there with Joey Negro and his new Disco Sex track is a dancefloor bomb. Drumpoet Community carry on their deep house mission with a great Alex Dallas and Ron Shiller compiled EP, essential house music. Subeena is a hot new talent and it's always nice to hear the girls doing it. Her forthcoming EP on Planet Mu is a killer and the inclusion of Jaimie Woon on vocals and Om'mas Keith on keys is a new generation dream team. Pinch and Rudey Lee's 'One Blood' gets a wicked Distance remix for all you dubstep lovers. Paul White's new limited 7" is a great slice of 'hip rockdelica' and Captain Planet is a New York producer with a love for all things soulful afro and latin and a mission to add his twist on the genres.. Speech Debelle - Spinnin (Big Dada) Thavius Beck - Go, Offshore remix (Big Dada promo) Anti-Pop Consortium - End Game (Big Dada promo) Boozou Bajou - Sign, DSL remix (K7) Bonobo - The Keeper, Grasscut Bitter Peace Remix) Nailah - Beautiful Anyway (NaiMuse Records) Kindred Spirits Ensemble - John Coltrane (Kindred Spirits) Milano Jazz Dance Combo - Much More ft Colonel Red (Record Kicks promo) Al Kent - Disco Sex (BBE promo) The Lost Men - More Of That (Drumpoet Community promo) Subeena feat Jamie Woon and Om'Mas Keith (Planet Mu promo) Pinch ft Rudey Lee - One Blood, One Source, Distance remix (Techtonic promo) Paul White - Versus The BBC (One Handed Records) Captain Planet - Fresh Delivery (Bastard Jazz promo)
