Army Chaplain (MAJ) Charles Popov, an Army chaplain who has deployed twice to Iraq. With more than a decade of experience as a pastor and two deployments to Iraq under his belt, the brigade chaplain has worked tirelessly to improve the physical, spiritual and emotional strength of many Soldiers to enhance resiliency the ability to grow and thrive in the face of challenges and bounce back from adversity. In addition to supporting the troops in his unit, he provided humanitarian aid to local Iraqis in an effort to ease tensions between Christians and Muslims. Popov says he frequently drew on skills and wisdom gained during his work as a civilian pastor to better serve his fellow Soldiers. http://www.vamortgagecenter.com/blog/2009/08/31/warrior-of-the-week-maj-charles-popov/
