Welcome
I am Dr. Rashid A. Moore - Program Professor of TESOL and ESOL Coordinator in the Fischler School of Education and Human Services. I work with the real heroes of society-
our children's teachers. Please use this website to view state and national standards, English as a Second Language resources, teacher resources, professional education and TESOL journals, my publications and APA format resources.
About Dr. Moore
I earned my doctorate in Language Education (TESOL) from Indiana University at Bloomington, Master's degrees in TESOL from Southern Illinois University and French at Illinois State University. My academic background includes 20 years of teaching experience in TESOL in Florida, Ohio, Indiana and overseas in Chile, Jamaica and Malaysia.
I have had the honor of working with Jamaican teachers (seen above) on the island for a number of years. For insights into Jamaican culture, I would recommend anything written by
Anthony Winkler, such as Going Home To Teach, The Lunatic and The Duppy.
