Sermon delivered by Pastor Randy Pabst. Over the years there has been a great deal of emphasis on Biblical Literacy. It is good to have a working knowledge of scripture. However, if the Bible is our “first language” of faith how “fluent” are we in that language—that is how well can we speak and share this “language of faith?” When the risen Jesus tells the disciples they are to be his witnesses he is directing them to share the faith based on who he is and what he did. In other words to be “fluent” in sharing the amazing wonder of God’s love lived out in him.
