Matthew 15_21-39 "We have all heard of the passion of Christ, especially because of the recent film. But today we will talk not about the passion of Christ but the compassion of Christ! There are three stories of Compassion in the ministry of Jesus from Matthew 15:21-39 The first story is about Jesus and the Canaanite woman. At first it seem like Jesus doesn't have compassion for her. We see eventually Jesus' explanation of His priority, and His response to the woman's faith. This first story of compassion shows Jesus' concern for the Canaanite woman, and is seen in verses 21-28.The second story of compassion is seen in verses 29-31 when Jesus cured the sick. I think this is a great lesson about Jesus' ability to show compassion on many different people and many different problems. Where are you from? What are you going through? Jesus can help. Finally, in the story of the feeding four thousand from verses 32-39, we see Jesus' compassion in that He cared for the multitudes. What did He help them with? Food! They were hungry and Jesus had compassion on them."
